About Zazirnyi M.D.

Ihor Mykhaylovuch Zazyrnyi, M.D. is one of the leading orthopedic specialists of Ukraine who has been in practice since 1983. Dr. Zazirnyi is Doctor of Medical Sciences and Merited Rationalizer of Ukraine; he also is Highest Category Board-certified Doctor. He earned his Ph.D. in 1991 from Medical Academy of Latvia, Riga. In 1994, 1995 and 1996 he completed his internship in replacement arthroplasty of knee, shoulder and hip joints in one of the oldest universities – Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.

During 2000 he has being specializing in arthroscopy of large joints and application of MRI in orthopaedic diagnostics in The University of Vienna and in one of the Private Clinic of Vienna (Austria). In 2001 he completed a preparation course of cartilage grafting in the Orthopaedic Institute at The University of Bologna (Italy), and in 2002 he completed two courses: a course of foot deformities surgery in The University of Vienna, and a course of corrective osteotomy in the Orthopedic Clinic of Evangelical Hospital of Spandau, Berlin (Germany).

Every year Dr. Zazirnyi takes part in European orthopaedic congresses. He has published more than 100 scientific papers in Ukrainian and foreign scientific magazines, part of them developed jointly with international colleagues. Doctor Zazirnyi is a member of the Arthroscopy Committee of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), member of the European Society of Sports Traumatology Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SICOT). Dr. Zazinyi is the Secretary of the Ukrainian Association of Sport Trauma, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy.
